The Sixth Chaos is a name that’s just as ambiguous as the game itself, which in turn is what makes it so interesting. Right off the bat, this isn’t your usual puzzle platformer as you will find yourself traversing lands that are strange and almost empty if it weren’t for all the questions left to answer.

In The Sixth Chaos you play the role of a little boy who has to make his way across a seemingly deserted world that’s covered in dust and darkness and filled with an eerie atmosphere. You will immediately realize that this won’t be your typical upbeat or over the top action platformer, but it will certainly not be boring.

The game is based on simple exploration and interaction that help the character transition through each of the five worlds and reveal to you an equal number of stories. World design is minimalistic and gloomy in an elegant way.

If you’re into atypical platformers which instead of having you kill a few thousand angry minions make you take your time to solve some puzzles using interesting mechanics, then The Sixth Chaos is a great choice.

Throughout the game you will have to solve some pretty clever puzzles using unusual objects shaped like exclamation and question marks, among others. They can serve one or multiple purposes and if you’re willing to look past the game, the way they are used actually hold a deeper meaning.

On a closing note, The Sixth Chaos is a wonderful game to play when you want to take some time off from the real world to be with your own thoughts, while also helping the little orphan boy in the game to reach his destination.
