The Hero Project: Redemption Season Demo
Enter a fierce competition and use your superpowers to defeat the other contestants and save your sister #The Hero Project #Interactive story #Role-playing game #Hero #Superpower #Novel
One thing almost every child dreams about at one point or another is having superpowers, or even being a superhero and saving the world from trouble every now and again. Everyone wants the cool superpowers, on the other hand, such as flying or being able to create fire tornadoes, but there might be some skills that come in handy much more often than setting everything ablaze can.
The Hero Project: Redemption Season is an interactive role-playing game that urges you to read and make tough choices instead of actually blowing things up in a 3D environment. It may not be everyone’s cup of tea, but if you truly value a good story and the ability to mold the plot according to your choices, then this might just be one of the most engaging adventures out there.
To begin with, the game is actually part of a whole series taking place in the same universe, and you can even import your save files and continue with a previous character. In this episode, it all comes down to a contest where every participant has some kind of special ability, even you. On the other hand, your superpower is much less extravagant, given the fact that you possess various animal attributes that change on a daily basis.
The quintessential element of the series is the fact that you are allowed to pretty much choose how to handle every situation. Whether it’s how to respond to an insult or whether to use one special ability instead of the other, everything is left up to you. This means that the whole thing is very replayable, since it’s very fun to go through the story again and make entirely different decisions along the way.
On the other hand, the lack of a visual component can be a bit of a bummer for the modern gamer, especially if you are too young to remember the text adventure genre. In essence, there’s nothing but text on the screen at any given time, which means that your imagination plays the role of a graphics engine. There’s no soundtrack either, but it shouldn’t be too much of a bother if you are an avid reader.
In the end, The Hero Project: Redemption Season is a very strong role-playing game, but it probably won’t attract massive crowds. The people who are anxious to give it a try already know about it, but there’s no harm in venturing into a new activity, so everyone should at least give the demo a few minutes.
