A friend, Jim, sends you an email which explains that you, him and two others are invited to take part in a revolutionary study which in turn translates into easy money for everyone. You decide to go but run a little late and in doing so, you arrive just in time to witness a horrible event, Maggie is taken through a portal by an axe wielding man.

Surface: Game of Gods Collector's Edition starts off like most games from this genre with a short introduction of the main character and plot. In this one however, that is done in a more interesting manner, as you progress along the game because it starts off with you being questioned by a police officer.

As he asks more and more questions, the story is pieced together one chapter at a time. It’s a nice way to move through the story but the game follows the classic hidden object steps of gameplay.

Surface: Game of Gods Collector's Edition is at its core a casual game meant to relax you on an afternoon with a few puzzles and a decent story. Throughout the game, using your sense of observation, you will have to find various objects that are hidden in the environment or locked away.

Puzzles come in all shapes and sizes with varying difficulties but not impossible. You can request a hint if you need it but this depends on the level of difficulty at which you choose to play the game. The highest level removes any kind of hint and in different stages of the game, that will surely challenge you.

On a closing note, Surface: Game of Gods Collector's Edition is a fairly good game. Story-wise, it offers a new plot with some interesting events and well crafted puzzles.
