Over the course of the campaign, you hone your skills and face off against more powerful enemies, some of which are Jedi knights that turned bad, as well as a wide range of alien mercenaries. Naturally, at some point you will have to choose yourself whether to keep fighting for the good guys, or put on the dark cape and start doing shady work for the other side.

Regardless of your choice, though, the combat system remains the same and that's a good thing, because it features some of the most intense and captivating mechanics seen in a video game. It is a real pleasure to swing the trusty lightsaber around, especially since you are also able to engage in daring acrobatics and eliminate those who stand before you in the most creative ways imaginable.

To render these move, the game uses a very powerful graphic engine, one that is capable of handling superior animations and a wide array of special effects to enhance the overall appearance of the characters and the environment. The alien worlds you visit over the course of your journey are superbly pictured, as are their inhabitants and the battles that take place as soon as you step foot on the planet's surface.

In the end, whether you liked the Star Wars movies or not, Star Wars Jedi Knight: Jedi Academy makes it difficult for anyone to resist the epic fighting system. Moreover, the nicely built story line keeps captivates you from the get-go, especially since you get a chance to make your own destiny and shape the fate of the galaxy.
