Riddled Corpses, a tiny game that will give you a huge headache. It’s an arcade shooter with a zombie theme that features several playable characters that are ready and willing to shoot their little hearts out.

Riddled Corpses is a pixel art bullet driven game that looks kind of harmless. The first two waves will be bullet hells for the zombies because Jon can whip up a nice storm of projectiles, but as you reach the third one, you get into some serious trouble.

Not only do you enter hell but you also face your first boss. There’s non-stop shooting, as you would expect, but as you march forward into the zombie infested world, screen clutter becomes a bit of a problem. It’s not all that hard to focus on where your hero is but it can get confusing at times.

Nonetheless, if you feed on bullets flying everywhere, take enjoyment in killing hundreds of zombies in less than five minutes and get a kick out of lightning-fast gameplay, Riddled Corpses is well worth your time.

In Riddled Corpses, you have 6 pixel warriors that will fight for you. Each one is unique and rocks a distinct visual style. These can be purchased using in-game gold that you earn by killing everything, but they cost a heck of a lot.

There’s a chance that the gameplay will get repetitive after a short while because if you don’t have the twin-stick shooter gene in you, it’s going to take a while before you get to a next level. Farming is a thing. You repeat the same waves over and over again until you have enough gold to either upgrade the current character or buy a new one. It’s not entirely pleasant to be in that position, but then again, it’s about pushing yourself to accomplish something else.

Riddled Corpses supports controller use, and two players can team up to vanquish the undead hordes. Playing as a team might be the best way to face the game and playing with a controller is definitely the way to go.

To wrap it up, Riddled Corpses is a really fun game if you don’t mind the somewhat forced, repetitive gameplay.
