Puzzle Dimension Demo

Puzzle Dimension is an interesting and different puzzle game than all of the rest. It combines multiple concepts, but the result is something new and unique.

We’ve all seen games in which players have to control a sphere in a dangerous environment. These games are not all that popular, but for the most part, they can be cataloged as platformers, even if they are actually in 3D. Now, if you take the same game, but you restrict the movement and add some puzzle elements, would that be considered a platformer as well.

Puzzle Dimension is not a platformer because it requires users to think and to find solutions. Finishing the levels is not about skill, is about figuring out the solution before starting to play. It’s not an easy game, and some the later levels will pose a challenge, but nobody said that a puzzle game should be easy.

Puzzle Dimension has a slow and progressive learning curve, which means that users won’t have a problem in finding the solutions to the problems, at least at first. The levels get more complicated as the game advances, so it’s not going to be a walk in the park.

The ball can be moved only on already existing tiles, and so you don’t have to work a lot to keep it from falling off-grid. On the other hand, not all of the tiles are the same. In fact, the tiles are the main element that is used to increase the difficulty. Some modified titles modify the way the ball acts. In some instances, the ball can’t jump, or it jumps two tiles instead of one. Other tiles can even destroy the ball, so the number of permutations that turn the board against the user is quite high.

Each level starts with an overview, and it’s critical to use it. Players can’t see everything once the level has begun, so they usually need to know ahead of time what to do.

The engine is really efficient at rendering the levels, and the game should run just fine, even on older systems. The demo comes with only ten levels.
