Polywar
Fight your way to supremacy in this exciting multiplayer FPS with simple graphics and interesting gameplay mechanics. #First-person shooter #Multiplayer shooter #Multiplayer FPS #Shooter #Multiplayer #FPS
First-person shooters are still incredibly popular when it comes to multiplayer, because gamers like to shoot each other in as many ways as possible. Thus, you have plenty of options at your disposal if you wish to start playing one of them, including names like Call of Duty, Battlefield or Team Fortress 2. On the other hand, there’s always room for one more, at least if features new ideas.
Polywar is a multiplayer FPS in which your only goal is to defeat the enemy team and make sure you watch out for obstacles on the map at the same time. The game features low-poly design as well, which means that it should run on almost any computer as long as you have a decent Internet connection. The gameplay is very alert and fast-paced, so it’s certainly not for beginners.
You can either create a server or join an already existing one, although it must be mentioned that the selection of servers is next to non-existent at the moment, which is a bit of a bummer. There is also a handful of maps at your disposal, and the full version promises a variety of game modes to diversify the experience as much as possible.
The actual gameplay might be a tad too fast-paced for some people, especially when it comes to movement and the way you aim. Your character can also jump incredibly high, which makes it that much more difficult to hit enemies floating around the map. On the other hand, it’s always fun when everything is so tough from the get-go, because everyone struggles to keep up.
As for the graphics, the low-poly models make everything look like some kind of Minecraft mod, although a tad smoother in certain aspects. The game looks pretty rad, in fact, especially if you are a fan of the style and you do not mind the lack of detail. Unfortunately, one of the annoying things is that the maps are a bit too small to be fun, especially when you consider the fact that you can jump over long distances.
All things considered, the Pre-Alpha version of Polywar is not quite there yet, but the game is bound to get better and better in the future. Hence, you can support the developers by voting for the game on Steam Greenlight.
