Polyology

Polyology is one of the most relaxing puzzle games you will ever have the pleasure of playing. It blends a minimalistic, colorful and very clean design that’s entirely comprised of vectorial elements which means that it looks great no matter what.

In Polyology, the motto seems to be ‘Less is More’, and it indeed fits. The game doesn’t provide over the top effects or confusing mechanics, but those that it uses are very well throughout.

The goal in each round is to clear the ‘board’ of all the existing blocks by connecting them in groups of three, four and so on. To do so, the game uses simple push mechanics and a few more surprises that make the game easy to play but not trivial in complexity.

Each level that comes up is considerably more difficult than the previous and puts you face to face with some tricky situations.

Polyology is all about positive vibes and a stress free experience. Apart from other puzzle games that use the same mechanics, or similar, in this one you can’t really fail. You can seriously confuse yourself by making a mess of how you position the blocks but you can undo every single move to retrace your steps.

In case that doesn’t work, there’s always the reset button. Your character is cyclops ball that changes color from one level to another and always has a smile on its face. Moreover, it’s bound to put a smile on your face thanks to the subtle animations is uses.

On a closing note, Polyology is by all means a really nice game which you can play to unwind on any given day. The demo might be really short, and convincing, but the full game promises plenty of levels to challenge yourself with.
