Need For Speed: Hot Pursuit 2

Although it came four years after it, Need For Speed: Hot Pursuit 2 is the sequel of Need For Speed III: Hot Pursuit released back in 1998, a sequel that aimed to bring back the action and thrills of evading police while driving the fastest cars in the world.

Need For Speed: Hot Pursuit 2's goal was to shift the attention back towards high-speed chases putting the player behind the wheel of the fastest sports cars on the planet while trying to do their best at evading the cops.

For this release, Electronic Arts has outdone itself and presented players with a wide range of exotic vehicles, including the Ferrari 550, 360 Spider, and F50, Lamborghini Murcielago, Porsche Carrera GT, and even the McLaren F1 with both the original and the Le Mans version.

Besides that, players will also be able to play as a cop taking control of various police cars, each with their own unique handling subtleties.

While taking the role of police officers, players will have to do their best and arrest speeders by ramming them until they manage to disable their vehicles.

One of the great aspects of any high-speed chase is the usage of various abilities that will help you take down the suspects faster. For example, during chases, cops will be able to organize barricades, call for additional units, deploy spike strips, and even call in helicopter assistance.

Besides playing as a cop, there are also multiple other race types in which players will take part, including Championship, Ultimate Racer, Delivery, Sprint, Time Trial, Lap Knockout, Knockout, Tournament, or Single Race.

Races take place in four different locations, each promoting a unique environment. From a tropical island, to coastal forests, to mountain scenery, the locations are quite varied and offer lots of occasions to prove your driving skills.

Need For Speed: Hot Pursuit 2 manages to deliver lots of action packed scenes and challenging driving areas that will require both skill and tough nerves to beat. Catching illegal street racers is fun, but nothing beats the satisfaction of evading a cop chase.
