Mystery Tales: The Twilight World is another entry in the hidden object genre and this one takes you on a journey into the Twilight World from where you must rescue your daughter. It’s a story that picks the pace right away and challenges you to solve plenty of puzzles.

Mystery Tales: The Twilight World doesn’t really come with anything new in terms of how it all starts, or how the story unfolds for that matter. It looks different than other games from this genre but not by a lot, just enough to be a bit interesting.

You and your daughter decide to stop at a hotel to rest for a while. It seems to be a nice place to catch some sleep but a few minutes in, while you’re looking through the room, you manage to trigger an event that’s not of the human world. As a consequence to your meddling, your daughter is kidnapped and now you set off on a journey through deception and the paranormal.

Mystery Tales: The Twilight World proposes the typical approach for the gameplay. You have to analyze the place you’re in at one moment or another and spot anything that looks out of the ordinary, or helpful. Clues will be everywhere but only some actually help you and it’s those that you need to locate.

Some are pieces of the story and others are parts of a puzzle or a solution. Either way, the game offers plenty of mini games to play until you get to the bottom of what happened.

On a closing note, Mystery Tales: The Twilight World is an ok game if you’re looking to wash away a few hours from your day. It’s not the toughest of hidden object games or the most original but if you’re a fan of the genre, it will do its job.
