Mystery Tales: Alaskan Wild Collector's Edition
What is intended as a lucrative photography trip becomes a kidnapping with totems, magic and dangerous predicaments. #Mystery Tales #Alaskan Wild #Hidden object #Mystery #Puzzle #Clue
Mystery Tales: Alaskan Wild Collector's Edition is another entry in the long line of casual games meant to partially keep your observation skills in check, as well as offer a way in which to spend a relaxing couple of hours.
The action in the game takes place in the wonderful but cold Alaskan landscape where you have been invited by your sister to have dinner with her fiance and his mother. Once you get there, things take a turn for the worse as her mother in law kidnaps her after displaying a rather scary side. One in which she seems to have magic powers, the kind you use for evil.
Without much of a clue as to what just happened and why, you set off in pursuit. One chapter after another, you will have to find clues, piece the story together, and do your best to save her. In structure, the story to Mystery Tales: Alaskan Wild is fairly generic to the genre, but there are pieces of originality that make it a bit interesting.
As far as looks go, Mystery Tales: Alaskan Wild is decent. The world design is fairly good with few things popping out in a negative manner and that counts for a great deal since most of the game relies on you not spotting the clues immediately.
The voice acting and writing is casually cheesy, but the game is mostly about finding stuff and putting things together to solve puzzles and get further into the story. In Mystery Tales: Alaskan Wild the puzzles are nice and will keep you busy for a good couple of hours. Some are very easy to solve, others not so much but it all comes together well in the end.
The price tag to Mystery Tales: Alaskan Wild Collector's Edition is rather steep when considering the lack of quality. It’s a nice game to play, but it pays off only if you’re really into hidden object games. We’d recommend you try the standard version of Mystery Tales: Alaskan Wild, which is a lot cheaper.
