Moon Tycoon has similarities to both SimCity and Pharaoh, but brings these types of games completely to the next level with a full 3-D engine, allowing more dynamic visuals and more interactive gameplay.
The year is 2021. Earth is facing the greatest threat it has ever known - a global energy crisis! Booming populations and nations fast tracking into hi-tech living have greatly increased power needs over the last century. The damage is now catching up with us, and global oil reserves are almost empty.
Alternate sources of energy are not enough. A new high yield energy source is needed. Nuclear power plants will be used to stop the immediate needs, but the high amount of dangerous radioactive waste produced in these Fission plants means that the world cannot rely on this for long.
Nuclear Fusion, a clean source of high energy is the solution the world is looking for. But there is a problem. Helium 3, a necessary fuel component for Fusion is extremely rare on the Earth. The Moon however is most abundant in this resource.
Hoping to avoid global chaos and a third world war, the United Nations has formed the Space Agency, a gathering of the top scientists, engineers, military personnel and politicians to colonize the Moon and successfully mine its much-needed Helium 3. The mission will be both dangerous and complicated, with the fate of the world resting on your success! Are you up to the challenge?
