Just Cause 2 Demo

Just Cause 2 is a fast-paced action shooter where players will control their character from a third person perspective while exploring the tropical forest of a tropical island.

Players will once again take on the role of Rico "The Scorpion" Rodriguez as he travels to the island of Panau in order to join the resistance and overthrow the evil Pandak "Baby" Panay. The fictional island is located in South East Asia, so expect a tropical paradise filled with vegetation, where oil fields are in plenty supply and nuclear submarines dwell under the blue crystal waters.

Russia, China, Japan, and the U.S want to take advantage of the rich oil supplies and begin to fight for the control of the island. Rico must make sure all operatives are no longer a threat to this country's security and neither is the power hungry leader: Panay.

Just Cause 2 uses an updated version of the same graphics engine as the previous game in the series, thus allowing the stunts to be even more spectacular. The real time deformation system brings reality to the game by making components fall off vehicles when shot or when crashing.

The open world provides a sense of freedom and the fact that you can just go exploring and ignore the main mission for as long as you want is amazing. The huge island features lots of strongholds that can be captured and even a Black Market that will supply the player with the necessary weapons and ammo. Vehicles, gear and weapons can be upgraded, so trying to gather parts scattered around the island is a good plan.

The parachute / grappling hook combo is one of the best things in the game. By using the infinite supply of rope and hooks, players will be able to get to the highest places, even in the most remote palm trees, and by using the parachute, falling will no longer be among the top concerns. Mixing these two items can lead to impressive stunts where only imagination is the limit.

The freedom sensation you get when throwing yourself from the top of the highest cliff on the island or when you ride on top of an airplane while shoot enemy paratroopers then jump onto a neighbor helicopter and make it crash to the ground is unbelievable. This combined with a fictional story about terrorism, espionage and nuclear missiles should leave no second thoughts about playing this game.
