Islands Defense is the somewhat generic type of tower defense game in the sense that you have a limited and fixed number of spots in which to place your towers. Unlike in real TD titles, where you could choose the places you wanted to build, thus allowing you to combine towers and their properties.

In this one, you just pick a spot and hope for the best. You can sell them if the initial choices were poor, and they can also be upgraded, but not during a level that’s underway. Also, it goes without saying that the goal of the game, of each round, is to eliminate all the enemy forces that pass through the map.

In the line of time consumers, TD titles are among the first. You just build a tower or two and then watch them kill everything that comes their way. A real challenge is absent in Islands Defense, but there will be tricky moments if you don’t manage your resources well.

Another thing that makes Islands Defense a good means of spending some time alone is the fact that you can’t speed up the game. In others you can, and that makes it easier to complete the game because some of us just don’t have the patience to play it the normal way.
