Invasion: Lost in Time is yet another hidden object game that’s delivered to those who enjoy chasing after a story that’s surrounded in mystery and wonder. So is the case in this one, where you and a friend travel to Egypt to get to the bottom of some very strange events.
There’s no secret that this game is going to be about aliens and such, it’s on the cover of the game after all. Expect a story that features alien invasions and time travel. Come to think about it, with Egypt as a setting, it’s no wonder that the outer space inhabitants exist, there is the theory that the pyramids were built by aliens.
The story to Invasion: Lost in Time is the game’s best bet of getting your attention and providing an enjoyable experience. It’s design and animations are rather bad, in terms of functionality. I haven’t come across a hidden object game, especially from Big Fish, that had so many glitches when transitioning from a puzzle to an environment.
Another nice thing about Invasion: Lost in Time are the puzzles. Unlike in other titles, there are plenty of good ones that get you thinking. However, I’m not sure as to how appealing the photo restoration and spot the difference ones will be. Considering the theme and approach to the story, those would have been better off replaced.
Weighing in the good and the bad, Invasion: Lost in Time comes out as an average hidden object game. While the story is good, and it makes you want to find out more, the gameplay is somewhat flawed.
