If you've ever dreamed of visiting distant planets and play a key role in developing a thriving human colony at the outer edges of our galaxy, Imagine Earth gives you the tools to make this happen.

In Imagine Earth you take the role of a colony manager who must do his best to raise a thriving colony on some of the recently discovered planets outside our galaxy.

To achieve that, you will have to carefully choose the landing spot for your settlement capsule, build huge cities while making sure you provide your people with enough food, energy and products to live in harmony.

This might not sound as much, but carefully planning where to build your factories and production facilities might play a crucial role in making your colonists happy. For example, the colonists living in a district located near factories will not be as happy as those living near forests.

After you've established your colony center along with the basic structures needed to support a small community, it's time to build new districts, upgrade the older ones and raise the population number to get more income. Make sure you also have the necessary food, energy and products to support the constantly growing number of colonists.

Further into the game you will also be able to improve your structures using various researches that will help to increase energy efficiency, reduce pollution, increase production, and make your people happier.

That's not all, because you will also have to consider the impact of your civilization on the colonized planet. A fast growing community can easily lead to planetary disasters and break the balance of the planet's ecosystem. If you're not careful, the greenhouse gas emissions might cause global warming which will lead to the melting of the polar ice caps raising overall sea level and flooding your cities.

Although it's still in development Imagine Earth manages to offer a great experience that will keep you pinned to your PC for hours. Colonizing planets might be fun, but the impact of your actions on the long term might make you think twice before cutting down all the trees to make room for another living district.
