Ignite Demo
An exciting arcade game that allows you to have some fun behind the wheel and race through a variety of environments. #Arcade racing #Drive car #Use nitro #Arcade #Racing #Drive
Arcade racing games make it obvious and clear that they do not intend on accurately reproducing reality when it comes to handling, collisions or mechanical characteristics. Instead, they choose to focus on the fun factor and provide the players with hours upon hours of mindless entertainment, devoid of anything that resembles reality or consequences.
Ignite is certainly no different in this regard, since it does not even try to bring anything new to genre and just puts you through a wide variety of tracks, at the wheel of legendary cars fully equipped with tons of nitro and a bodywork made out of Kryptonite. The whole purpose of the game is to go fast and have fun, which given the amount of opportunities you are faced with, should not be too difficult to achieve.
The singleplayer mode includes a campaign mode as well, which takes you through a total of thirty-something races on half a dozen tracks. In order to advance, you must obviously finish the race ahead of the other competitors, although they are not much of a threat anyway. The AI is pretty weak and disappointing, but it can get on your toes from time to time and even provide you with a challenge once in a blue moon.
When you get tired of the AI and you want to see how your speed skills measure against other human competitors, you can easily switch to the multiplayer mode and take part in much more exciting races across the Internet. Here you can find the same satisfying collection of cars and tracks, as well as a large enough number of game modes to choose from, depending on whether you feel like just a regular race, or you are in the mood for the excitement of the Knock-out mode.
There are plenty of achievements to unlock and show off to your friends, not to mention the fact that there is a worldwide leaderboard on which the best lap times are constantly displayed and honored. Coupled with the attractive graphics and the easy control scheme, the package should satisfy anyone in the need for a quick fix, although hardcore racing fans might want to keep their distance.
All things considered, Ignite does keep its head above the river of mediocrity and it can be quite the inspired choice, if you are on the market for something fun to play with your friends. However, you shouldn't expect too much from it, especially when it comes to gameplay mechanics and lasting appeal.
