However, it’s up to you to make the best out of your ideas and get everything right in terms of acting, directing and everything else that makes a good movie. You can go back and change things around to see all the endings and possibilities.

To begin with, the movie genre is up to you, and there are plenty of options to choose from, including comedy, horror, thriller and many other sub-genres. The setting and the plot are up to you as well, not to mention the fact that you can choose your skill and direct, produce, edit or even act in order to attain Hollywood immortality. On the other hand, there are some non-movie related paths to follow as well.

The action takes place in the 1950s, which means that the people you interact with are also from that period. Hence, you can have long chats with Hitchcock, as well as engage in romantic relationships with the likes of Garbo. There are multiple romance options to choose from, so you can always go through the game multiple times and see what else you can achieve.

Naturally, the whole goal of making a movie is to get fans interested and maybe also win some awards, which is far from easy. You can even win an Oscar if you do everything right, but then again you might find happiness in a B-movie production as well. There are no graphics to speak of, but that shouldn’t be too much of a problem if you are an avid reader.

In the end, Hollywood Visionary might not be exquisite in terms of gameplay mechanics, but the plethora of choices should make the experience very enjoyable. There are not many similar games out there at the moment.
