Guns'N'Zombies

Guns'N'Zombies is a top-down shoot’em up action packed game that let’s you obliterate swarms upon swarms of zombies that are set to destroy the human race. The game fuses a bunch of genres together to form one fun and exciting experience.

At its core, Guns'N'Zombies is a survival game that blends some RPG with a good dose of tower defense. The combination suits the game very well as it provides you with a lot of variation when it comes down to how you want to disintegrate the zombie hordes. It’s always fun to have more than one way to kill a zombie.

The game places you into a post-apocalyptic time when the human race is about to be wiped out by an invading zombie force and it’s up to you and a few others to stop this. As your hero defeats more and more zombies, he gains experience which allows him to level up, granting him the possibility to equip new weapons and items.

There is a variety of guns to opt for, from loud shotguns to precise and deadly sniper rifles and you can even purchase new special abilities to use when you’re reloading or on the run.

From a visual point of view, Guns'N'Zombies does very well. Animations are smooth, character and world design are well above average and even though there are a few ‘bumps in the road’ now and again, overall, it’s well polished.

At a certain point gameplay will seem repetitive but that tends to apply to all top-down survival games. Although, in Guns'N'Zombies no two rounds are ever the same. As far as difficulty goes, it all depends on how good your footwork is when dodging zombies and picking the best times to fire at them. Unlike in most top-down shooters, here, when you fire your weapon, the main man slows down and it’s easy for the zombies to throw some poisonous goo your way along with some claus and iron fists.

To sum things up, Guns'N'Zombies is by all means a nice game to play whenever you feel the need to blow off some steam. It’s got plenty of action to keep you going, a good story behind it keeps you on your toes the entire time.
