The action takes place in New Orleans where a series of voodoo murders keep emerging. Your goal is to investigate these murders and use the information from them to write your new novel but as you make your way from one to the next, you start to get pulled more and more into a world of mystery where you eventually end up retracing your family’s roots and embracing your true calling.

Gameplay in Gabriel Knight - Sins of the Fathers remains the same as in the original using point-and-click mechanics at its core, while adding new ones as well. The game is now in HD and delivers very good graphics, the action is in 3D offering a new set of puzzles and challenges.

At first it seems a bit slow-paced but as you start to gather information and piece it together, things become somewhat more alert. Animations for the characters are good, fluent and the dialog is well scripted although some remarks by the narrator, other than yourself, seem to be unnecessary.

Gabriel Knight - Sins of the Fathers’s remake comes as good news since the point-and-click genre has been lacking in great stories to tell in the last years. Now, with this release you can once again relive the thrill of a good story with a great plot.
