Forgotten Kingdoms: Dream of Ruin Collector's Edition

The stories in hidden object games generally take you through the same plot type, you are a detective that is faced with yet another challenging case but eventually you manage to solve it. In Forgotten Kingdoms: Dream of Ruin Collector's Edition, the action takes place in a world where dragons exist, kingdoms flourish and the dangers are inexplicable.

The story begins with a young princess dreaming of her engagement to her soulmate but once the ring is on her finger, the dream turns into a nightmare as she watches her kingdom devoured by flames. After she wakes up from this recurring nightmare, the story shifts to you, an ambassador of Aeria who is sent to deliver a message to the aforementioned princess.

Once you arrive at your destination and offer the princess the pergament with a real marriage proposal, she is overwhelmed with happiness but declines the offer as she is afraid that her dream will become a reality. In a fraction of a second after her refusal a spell binds her in chains that drain her life force.

Given the circumstances and events, the queen holds you responsible for the event and binds your life to that of the princesses, forcing you to find a way to save her life and yours.

Forgotten Kingdoms: Dream of Ruin Collector's Edition doesn’t follow the classic storyline and the puzzles are also different from what you’ve probably seen in other similar games. Of course, they still rely on logic and function based on the same mechanics but they certainly make the story more vivid.

In some cases you will have to solve just one puzzle to obtain the item you need or undertake a chain of puzzles that prove to be more and more challenging.

Forgotten Kingdoms: Dream of Ruin Collector's Edition is an above average hidden object game. Some graphics and animations could have been better but overall, the game looks good and displays a series of well crafted levels.
