Dragon's Lair for Windows 8

Dragon's Lair is a remake for Window 8 of the classic arcade game where you must rescue a princess in distress.

Our adventure starts when a fair maiden, princess Daphne, is kidnapped by an evil dragon and the king offers a great reward to the one that would manage to defeat the evil beast and bring her back.

A brave knight by the name of Dirk the Daring with both looks and brains, decides to take on this difficult task. In order to rescue the princess, our valiant knight will have to pass through the dangerous castle of the foul wizard Mordroc, explore the dangerous caverns beneath the great fortress and finally make its way to the lair of the evil dragon Singe.

The entire game is like watching a movie, but you get to control the actions of the main characters. You'll have five controls at your disposal: left, right, up, down and attack with the sword. Combining these keys and pressing the right one at the right time will prove to be the different between dying and advancing to the next area.

The game is made out of scenes. In order to pass to the next scene you must complete all the challenges that are presented: fight monsters, dodge fire, lava and water.

There are two different modes you can choose from: Home where you must play just like in the original 1983 version of the game and Arcade where after you die, a random scene will start. There are also two levels of difficulty: Easy where the reaction time has been increased and difficult key combinations removed and Hard where the reaction time is rather small and all the complex key moves are included.

With great animations created by the legendary animator Don Bluth and with gameplay to fill hours of good time, the game is proof that classics never die.
