Defragmented

Defragmented is a neon-induced shooter that’s fused with RPG elements and fast-paced action. The game features a cyberpunk theme and a few goodies that make it interesting and fun to play.

First thing’s first, when you run Defragmented, set all the graphics settings to high because if you don’t get to see the neon look, motion blur, bloom, grain and so on, the game will feel like just another low-poly top-down shooter. Seriously, the game is excellent when you play it at ultra settings, don’t let the screenshots fool you.

Now, Defragmented takes a bit of time to master because this isn’t a run and gun game. You and the enemy are very fragile to direct bullet hits so apart from aiming right you need to do a lot of dodging. Dying will be common, ammo is scarce and some weapons are imprecise, all the more reasons to focus and take your time before you fire even one shot.

In Defragmented, it’s important that you memorize the movement patterns of the enemies and find the best time to strike. After killing an enemy or looting some lockers, you can find new weapons that are randomly generated, meaning that you never really know what you shoot or how well it works.

On the good side, when you die, the weapons stick with you and all your inventory remains intact. Another positive feature to Defragmented is the fact that the environment around you is partially destructible. This means that bullets and bomb fragments pass through thin objects.
