Debris Field Demo

They say, in space, no one can hear you scream, but a lesser-known fact is that, once you start moving, there’s very little out there that can stop you or change your course.

Debris Field is an interesting game that uses the first law of motion to generate a fast-paced, and often somewhat confusing battle arena. You will need to avoid dangers, upgrade your ship and destroy all enemies that dare to face you.

Unlike in the Earth’s atmosphere, in Debris Field’s game world there is no air to slow you down or act on flight control surfaces. As a result, your ship will tend to maintain its current path even when you do a complete 180 and power up your thrusters.

Movement and aiming are quite a bit trickier as a result, but you can actually get accustomed to these mechanics pretty quickly. However, make sure you avoid debris scattered across the levels, as it isn’t exactly harmless.

There are multiple ships and weapons to choose from when starting the game, along with mutators that affect the gameplay in certain ways. You can also upgrade your ship after the game has begun, but don’t waste too much time on this.

The difficulty level increases over time, so you are guaranteed to have a tough fight on your hands as you progress through the level. While the enemy ships aren’t too powerful on their own, they can overwhelm you with sheer numbers.

There is a limited amount of content available in Debris Field at present, with one level in the demo and three in the full version. It certainly looks good so far, both in regards to its gameplay and graphics, and a complete version of the game could keep you entertained for hours.
