Dangerous Games: Illusionist is a hidden object puzzle game in which you play the role of a reporter who is asked to do a piece on the annual Championship of Illusionists. You accept the job because it sounds promising but events take a turn for the interesting and the bad when the first illusionist is abducted by a masked man.

For the hidden object fans, the story won’t seem like a surprise. After all, a great deal of them start off with someone being abducted or kidnapped. In this case the setting is a bit different since the events take place at a contest for Illusionists so you know some of the puzzles will be interesting.

The story revolves around the abduction of a contender for the world's best illusionist by the ghost of a fire victim who died twenty years ago. To make things worse, the culprit is also an illusionist, and a really good one at that. Now, your job is to follow the trail of clues and solve all the puzzles it takes to get to the bottom of it all.

Visually, Dangerous Games: Illusionist is ok. In terms of gameplay, it follows the same pattern as most do. You use your mouse to explore and interact with the environment you have before you, there are puzzles to solve using the clues you find and so on.

There’s nothing spectacular about it but neither is the game bad, although, there are some moments when things don’t really make sense. When it comes to the difficulty level, things vary depending on your experience. Dangerous Games: Illusionist has a few good puzzles to test your skills but most of them can be solved without the need for hints.

On a closing note, Dangerous Games: Illusionist is a decent hidden object puzzle game. It looks good, the puzzles are consistent. It’s worth playing if you want to relax and waste some time.
