Such is the case in Curse of the Pharaoh: Quest for Nefertiti, a puzzle game that has you traveling from location to location, in order to unearth information about a powerful curse and learn how to stop it in time. Along the way, you get to visit a variety of curious places, including prestigious museums and expensive hotels that might hold clues about your quest.

In essence, the game asks you to find ten differences between two pictures, which range from fairly obvious, to downright impossible to spot without outside help. However, there are many other mini-games you stumble upon throughout the adventure, all of which put your mind to work and help you develop an eye for the detail, over the course of the available levels.

Naturally, at some point you will happen to get stuck and be unable to spot the last difference between the pictures. After you remain inactive for a while, the game gives you the opportunity to ask for a hint, which basically highlights the object in question and provides you with the answer. The good news is that you do not risk anything by using these hints, other than running out of them later on.

You can also find coins scattered across the levels, which can be gathered and used at the shop. Here, it is possible to buy a variety of in-game bonuses or helpful tools, such as a double pointer, a flashlight, or extra hints to use during the puzzles. Naturally, these get more and more expensive as they get more useful, which makes it very important to find all of the hidden coins.

In the end, Curse of the Pharaoh: The Quest for Nefertiti is as entertaining as advertised, as long as you enjoy this type of games and you don't mind the lack of action throughout the story. Moreover, it also comes with the added benefit of working your brain a bit.
