Conquer entire planets in this turn-based strategy game that features intense battles and many tactical options. #Strategy game #Turn-based strategy #Multiplayer TBS #Strategy #Tactic #Turn-based
Planetary conquest is a pretty far away concept at the moment, given the fact that we can barely leave our own. However, it shouldn’t be such a huge leap of imagination to think about galactic empires fighting for supremacy over entire solar systems, especially if wars are a common hobby around the universe. Granted, such encounters would most likely be entirely automated.
Codex of Victory is a turn-based strategy game that allows you to practice your patience and devise new ways to destroy your enemies using a variety of tactics. At the moment the game is still in early access, which means that it lacks a lot of features, not to mention the fact that it provides you with very little content.
The main idea is that you must wisely make use of your action points to deploy units, attack the enemy and capture resource points around the map. Obviously, it’s pretty important to find the right balance between all of these things, because it’s never a good idea to focus on a single element. Thus, winning is pretty much impossible if you forget to acquire resources or you are not paying enough attention to your unit movement.
As mentioned before, action points are the most important thing of all, because they allow you to do everything once the battle starts. Hence, you can fight to obtain an advantage by conquering resource points around the map. By doing so you are increasing the number of action points you receive every turn, so that you can deploy additional units or attack multiple times.
Speaking of which, the maps are pretty interesting and engaging, and it’s also worth mentioning that there’s an entire planet at your disposal when it comes to conquering territory. Granted, this part is not yet done, but the developers promise a lot more content in future versions. As for the graphics, they are pretty colorful and detailed, but nothing memorable so far.
All things considered, Codex of Victory seems to be on the right path when it comes to gameplay mechanics and replay value. Thus, with some extra content and more units to upgrade and deploy in battle, the game can easily keep you occupied for a few hours.
