Chopper: Lethal darkness Demo
Control attack helicopters and take out enemies in the cover of darkness in this simple shooter. #Attack helicopter #Action game #Helicopter sim #Helicopter #Action #Sim
People have become incredibly efficient when it comes to war and killing other people, especially since we now have the possibility to do it remotely. Computer-controlled missiles and drones can wipe out entire cities in a matter of minutes, and human intervention is often minimal. However, sometimes more finesse is needed, so there are still plenty of machines out there that required pilots or gunners.
Chopper: Lethal darkness is a rudimentary shooter with some tactical elements and a bit of simulation included for good measure. However, the whole thing is very unrefined and sloppy in terms of controls, graphics, interface and mechanics, which makes it difficult to stay excited about the game for more than a few minurwa, even if it features a couple of new ideas. In short, your role is to shoot targets using an attack helicopter, and do all of this from the cover of darkness. You have multiple weapons at your disposal and limited ammunition, so there’s a fair bit of strategy involved as well, at least if you want to finish the missions and complete the objectives. Speaking of which, your primary task is to destroy a certain number of vehicles and structures, as well as to take out hostiles.
The most annoying issue is the fact that things never change in terms of gameplay or the nature of the missions, so after one level you can pretty much see everything there is to see. You can unlock upgrades as you get further into the game, which are actually just different weapons that do not really change the pace of the missions anyway. Hence, the whole thing feels very repetitive and disappointing in most regards. Lastly, the graphics are a tad too simple to keep you invested in the action, even if the whole point is that you are actually looking through an infrared screen. This is a fun gimmick as a mini-game in games like Call of Duty or the like, but to keep doing it for hours on end is definitely no huge pleasure. The controls are not too tight either, so it’s fairly difficult to aim sometimes as well, just to make things worse.
Chopper: Lethal darkness could have been somewhat more fun in a different form, but this project is just too unrefined and sloppy to keep you engaged for more than a few minutes. The idea as a whole is difficult to present in an appealing way.
