Cat on a Diet is a nifty little physics puzzle game in which the goal of each level is to get a fat cat into the cookie jar. For cat lovers, this game is something that will undoubtedly cause some smiles and even a few doses of laughter. Just wait until you this chubby guy roll around.

Cat on a Diet is not necessarily an original game, but the gameplay it adopts is more is intuitive and a lot of fun. In each level, you have to help Dr. Meow dive into the cookie jar so he can enjoy the tasty treats.

At the beginning of each round of cookie snatchin’ he’ll be stationary on top of some wooden boards or other types of destructible materials, and you’ll have to use a clawing mechanics to make sure he starts rolling or in the right direction. Along the way, there are some muffins to collect, so, apart from reaching the giant jar, you’ll have to slice stuff with a plan in mind.

Dr. Meow is adorable for a really lazy cat who wants to eat cookies all day. He’s a bit of a fatty, and when he rolls, he tends to bounce a little and getting stuck in something makes him look funny. Watching him interact with the environment will be entertaining.

Along with the nice gameplay, you’ll surely enjoy his expressions of fear, anxiety and anger when you do something wrong or click him one too many times. Cat on a Diet also looks good for a game of its calibre. The level designs are nice, and everything looks and runs smooth.

In the realm of games, you play purely for relaxation purposes, Cat on a Diet ranks well. It has a nice visual style and the gameplay is easy to pick up but at times hard to master, which is a good tradeoff for a puzzle game.
