CSI: 3 Dimensions of Murder Updated Demo
Watching crime scene investigators solve apparently impossible crimes is always a thrill, especially since it always ends up with the bad guy behind bars. Now, thanks to CSI: 3 Dimensions of Murder, you too can put your mind to work and gather clues from crime scenes, in order to analyze them and find links with your suspects.
Take on a variety of cases as the story unfolds
The game puts you the shoes of a Las Vegas Police Department newcomer and you must prove that you are worthy of the job by taking a multitude of cases featuring ingenious crimes. There are also other characters that follow you along the way, all of which have their part to play in the story and they usually help you with hints and advice.
As far as the gameplay is concerned, beside the obvious puzzle component, the game acts like a point-and-click adventure, since you cannot actually move around the environment. Thus, you have to scour the scene by moving the camera around and click on various objects that seem to be holding useful information. You can also zoom in and out in some circumstances, in case you need a more detailed view of the object you are handling.
Use high-tech equipment to extract evidence
As you might expect, after you finish analyzing the crime scene and collect every piece of evidence, you must use the laboratory in order to find out information about it and reach a conclusion. Thus, the lab provides you with everything from DNA matching computers, to microscopes and fingerprint databases you can access to look for suspects.
There are also a wide variety of tools you can use to collect the actual evidence, such as DNA swipes, cameras and various other extraction gadgets to lift every fiber that might seem odd. The items are stored in your inventory, where they can be viewed or analyzed at any time by taking a closer look at their characteristics.
Talk with witnesses and question suspects
In case you need further assistance in figuring out the crime, you can also talk with people that might know something about it, including witnesses and possible suspects. Hence, they can help you find out about the last whereabouts of the victim, or give you valuable clues about who might have been behind the crime.
All in all, CSI: 3 Dimensions of Murder is a fun and pretty difficult game to go through, which makes it even more addictive. Furthermore, the characters from the TV series are also present and you can work together with them to solve the cases.
