BloodRayne 2 Demo
An exciting third-person action game in which you take on the role of a female vampire by the name of Rayne. #Blood rayne #Warrior vampire #Vampire assassin #BloodRayne #Blood #Rayne
Vampires have received a lot of attention over the last few years, although they were quite popular even before that, due to the fact that legends about bloodsuckers are common all over the world. However, the modern vampires are far more different than what the old myths say about them, especially when it comes to their abilities and their role in the society.
BloodRayne 2 is a sequel that aims to build on its predecessor and expand the story of Rayne, the deadly vampire that must hunt down deadly creatures and prevent the destruction of humankind. This time around, she also comes with a wide variety of new acrobatic moves, destined to inflict as much damage and pain as possible on her enemies, while also feasting herself on their blood in order to stay alive.
The background story does not impress in any way, but it does provide you with a few explanations for what it is happening on the screen and why is Rayne eviscerating everyone she meets. Thus, the plot talks about an experiment the vampires are working on, which should result in a cure that will allow them to become immune to the sun's burning effects. Naturally, this is definitely not good news for the people out there, which is why Rayne decides to do everything in her power to stop her kin from achieving their goal.
Due to the fact that you are equipped with two massive blades and superhuman strength, you can only imagine what it looks like when your character gets into a fight with an enemy. The game emphasizes on violence and graphical depictions of blood and gore, which does make matters a bit better, considering the fact that everything else is a bit dull and boring, overall. The combos and the nice combat system somehow makes for it, however, although there are still plenty of flaws left that can ruin your experience.
As you might expect, the action is very linear and there is always only one way to advance through the levels, or complete certain missions. You can mix it up by employing slightly different strategies, but the end result is always the same and there is not much point in replaying the game, unless a long time goes by and you forget most of it. On the bright side, the graphics are quite detailed and the combat animations are rather convincing, at least in Rayne's case.
Even if the story is annoying and the general execution is a bit sloppy, BloodRayne 2 remains an almost good game, mostly because of its attitude and the massive amounts of violence is involves, which sort of make you forget about level design and plot after you start playing. However, the potential was much greater and the series could have score way higher, with just a little more effort.
