Alien Rage – Unlimited is a Sci-fi first-person shooter developed and published by CI Games that takes players on a wild ride.

Alien Rage – Unlimited is was a surprise because the developers are no all that well known, and they didn’t have a lot of marketing for this game. There are a ton of first person shooters launched all the time, and very few of them are good enough. Even so, so most of these games come from established studios or that have some history.

To be fair, CI Games made a name for itself with the Sniper series and tried their hand with an amazing looking RPG named Lords of the Fallen. In any case, Alien Rage – Unlimited might not have the most appealing name, but it’s really good FPS experience that we don’t encounter all that often.

Humanity finds that there is a special kind of mineral in the Universe that is great at powering out civilization, but we only found really small quantities. Then, a huge asteroid with this stuff is discovered, and we take control of it. All of this happens in a galaxy void of any kind of alien life.

Then, the aliens show up, and they are looking for the same thing as us. Humans and Vorus, the aliens, live in peace for a while, but then the aliens turn on us and try to make us leave the asteroid. A team is sent it to destroy the asteroid and disrupt the alien’s operations.

It might seem like a very simple story, and that’s true for the most part, but it turns out that things are more complicated than that. The player will find evidence from various scientists that there is more to the story of the Vorus.

The levels are very linear, and they don’t pose a lot of problems. The accent is placed on getting the high score, more than anything else. Also, as a bonus, the game is based on Unreal Engine 3, and it looks really good. The effects are spot on and the script is really funny, and quite mature.

Players need to make sure that they give Alien Rage – Unlimited a try since it’s a gem in disguise.
