Released in 1995 by Sega of America, X-Men 2: Clone Wars is a sequel to its 1993 side-scrolling video game titled X-Men. The game was given a KA (Kids to Adults) rating by the Entertainment Software Ratings Board. It garnered some attention when it introduced the X-Men enemy Magneto as a playable character.
Wolverine, Cyclops, Gambit, Beast, Nightcrawler, Psylocke, and the rest of the X-Men return in this second installment of the ongoing war of mutants. Based on the classic comic book series of the same name, the game is packed with combat sequences and comic book animations that would make even the most adamant series enthusiast proud.
This time, the struggle is so world-threatening that even the evil Magneto switches over to help win the battle. A device called the Phalynx threatens all life on the planet, and it's going to take all of the powers that the X-Men can muster to save the day. Play as any of the mutants including Magneto in this faithful adaptation.
