This time it's all about the space ship! Wow, what an intro! Fast zooming tunnel effects, thumping dance style music and big bad icons to click - we liked this very much indeed! The game itself is no less impressive.
You start off flying a space ship on an attacking run on a giant alien craft. Not only can you take out the gun emplacements on the outside, but you can fly into the mothership and wipe out the alien "ground" troops as well, destroying any of their fighter ships in the process.
Kill all the turrets, aliens and ships and you get to hit the next stage which features manic car racing action (well, we assumed it would, our version crashed when we tried to run it). The graphics are bright and colourful, as bold as the introduction was.
You can swap different weapon types and either blow away the aliens or if you can fly carefully enough you can skim the surface and knock them over instead. The only real issue we had with the game were the controls - you need to really move your mouse to get anywhere and the arrow keys counter-intuitively rotate you instead of move you.
This mars an otherwise exciting game - imagine the smooth controls the likes of which Room War had mixed with this and you'd have a definite potential winner on your hands.
