On the other hand, all bets are off in the video games world, not to mention the fact that you cannot get hurt or get in trouble with the law. Many other things become possible once physics no longer have a say in things.

Stickman Catapult 3D gives its secret away right in the name, because that is a pretty accurate description of the entire game. All you need to do in order to play is to use a catapult to launch a stickman into the distance. The farther the poor guy makes it, the higher your score will be. However, it is not as simple as you may think, because a bit of coordination is required to obtain the best results.

To begin with, the path ahead is littered with trampolines and dynamite stacks, which boost the stickman’s velocity if he happens to touch them. You also have a limited amount of control over the ragdoll body of the stickman while it is in the air, since it is possible to lean either left or right. It takes a while to learn how to properly take advantage of this, but you can reach mind-boggling distances once you do.

Jetpacks can be picked up as well, although they are kind of rare, not to mention the fact that they hang from balloons and float randomly through the sky. If you do manage to snatch them, on the other hand, the speed boost is phenomenal, and the momentum itself should be enough to keep the stickman going for a while. The bad news is that bottomless holes are also part of the challenge, so your journey can end abruptly if you are not careful.

From a technical point of view, the game is not a wonder of engineering, since it’s just Unity and a basic physics engine working together. The ragdoll is pretty convincing, but the graphics are not impressive at all. Fortunately, you’ll be too busy guiding the stickman from one dynamite pile to the other, so the graphics don’t really matter in the end.

In the end, Stickman Catapult 3D is not the type of game that keeps you busy for hours, but it can be the perfect distraction for when you want a quick dose of fun. It is also very amusing to play with your friends and see who gets the highest score.
