Solstice Arena
An action packed MOBA with plenty of heroes that can be customized to fit your fighting style. #Arena teamfight #Team battle #Free to play #MOBA #Teamfight #Team
Solstice Arena is kind of an underdog, and it might not get your attention at a first glance but this little MOBA has got some things figured out. It’s fast-paced with solid gameplay and it looks sufficiently good for it to run on just about any hardware configuration.
In Solstice Arena you have the same goal that’s kind of standard in MOBAs, destroy the other team’s base. However, here there are no lanes to push, XP and item farming is removed and even the map is rather tiny, all elements which force teams to just fight.
At first Solstice Arena doesn’t seem all that captivating, especially when you play against bots. More so, if you come from a rigorous MOBA background, it’s lighter than a stroll through an empty park. It really is easy to play since you have only three skills to worry about and three opponents to focus on. However, once you unlock the co-op and ranked modes difficulty increases drastically and that’s when Solstice Arena starts to show its potential.
Solstice Arena pushes forward a very good method of shaping your character regardless of its role. Their skills are unlocked at full potential from the start of the arena and remain so for the entire duration. As your game profile gains experience and you level up, you are given the chance to upgrade any of your hero’s skills.
This way, you can make a tank tankier or offer a him or her a support edge if his core skills allow that path, or, you can transform a support into an assassin and vice versa. Combat versatility is something that has been presented as a feature in a lot of MOBAS but here, it actually is.
To further enhance this aspect, certain bonuses, temporary or permanent, randomly spawn across the arena. Each one you collect has its effects on your hero, whether it’s increased damage, movements peed, durability, it all counts.
Fighting as a team and knowing who to focus and take down first is crucial in Solstice Arena. The reason for that is very simple. If one hero gets enough items and the player is able to visualize the structure of a battle, the term OP hero has never been truer. In Solstice Arena, the snowball effect is devastating but comebacks are also real.
Solstice Arena is a wonderful MOBA to play, especially if you’re just starting off. Initially that was my first thought, that it’s an excellent introduction to the genre but after some games, it started to get grow into something more.
