Silver Creek Falls: Chapter 1

Silver Creek Falls: Chapter 1 is a light indie title that’s built using RPG Maker to deliver a story about a series of murders that are covered in mystery. Expect pixel-art graphics, simple controls and a bit of investigation gameplay.

If you’re familiar to RPG Maker, then you know what to look forward to: pixel graphics, a bird’s eye view, intuitive controls and mildly-slow story progression. The game comes with a decent world design although, after a while of going through these games, they all tend to look alike.

The only thing that sets these games apart is the story. In this case, it starts off with a slight sensation that it’s going to be very predictable, but that’s for to find out. The main characters are an easy to aggravate female detective, and her new British partner who likes to play the good cop role of the duo.

If you want tons of depth from Silver Creek Falls: Chapter 1, you might not get it, and seeing as how the game is free to play and build using RPG Maker, don’t expect much production quality from it either.

It's a simple game about going from point to point, picking up clues and figuring out as much as you can. All of which is rather relaxing if you just want to spend a couple of minutes with a game that appears to have more to come later on. Who knows, maybe the story will hook you in.

Silver Creek Falls: Chapter 1 won’t take over an entire day or several hours of your free time. If you’re familiar to the mechanics of the genre, and the game engine, an hour would be enough to complete it. Give it a shot, it might turn out to be good.
