The Clicker games are obviously not designed to provide the players with any kind of story or a life experience of some sort, and that much is clear from the start. Instead, they aim to give you something to do when you have a few spare minutes, not to mention the fact that they can also run just fine by themselves in the background without any kind of input from you.

Ragnarok Clicker is designed to help you cope with boredom and remember the good old times of free MMOs, given the fact that the creatures you click on are borrowed from the classic Ragnarok series. In case you played Clicker Heroes, then you should also know that this game is designed by the same studio, and it’s actually more of a reskin than a new release.

The gameplay mechanics are the same as in Clicker Heroes and pretty much the same as in every other clicker game. Thus, your job is to defeat monsters by clicking on them, gather the money they drop and upgrade your heroes. These heroes allow you to deal automatic damage without clicking at all, so the game plays itself after a while.

The character classes are obviously taken from the Ragnarok series, and each one of them is unlocked after you purchase the one before it. Naturally, each class can be upgraded a number of times, and each upgrade increases the amount of damage that particular hero deals every second. It’s important to keep upgrading if you want to move to higher levels, especially since the bosses are very difficult to kill and require quite a bit of patience.

As with all clicker games, the numbers you deal with after a few hours of gameplay become ludicrous, given the fact that the growth is exponential. Hence, it doesn’t take long to reach a decillion of damage per second, and you make just as much money as well. Although this doesn’t have any sort of effect on the gameplay, it does make you feel like you are getting somewhere.

All things considered, Ragnarok Clicker features no new ideas and nothing of interest for those who are already familiar with the clicker genre, which is a bit of a shame. On the other hand, at least the game is free, at least if you can restrain yourself from the real cash store.
