Ouroboros description
Slither like an egyptian! This is snake gone back to the pyramids.
Old Egypt it's in fashion! Slither like an egyptian! This is snake gone back to the pyramids.
You play the character of the title and must slink your way around the various levels on offer, collecting scarabs (and coins if you like) until you have got them all.
Once this happens you must complete the Ouroboros circle, which basically means the snakes head has to eat it's tail (remember those egyptian statues/pictures of snakes eating their tails? That's an Ouroboros).
There
are of course hazards not least of which include hexes that randomly shift things around, the Anubis Guards (who are thankfully quite dumb), Water (it would appear the Ouroboros was no water snake!), chasms and of course walls.
The levels are all in 3D, as in you can actually sliter up staircases and along ramparts, which adds a nice touch to the game. Other surfaces present challenges, such as marble forcing the snake to slide in one direction only.
The egyptian music, setting and graphics all work very well indeed and the variety of levels on offer, and their associated learning curve, presents a good challenge for any puzzle gamer.
Here are some key features of "Ouroboros":
· It's all wonderfully egyptian in its theme - graphics, music, theme, enemies, etc.
· Very well thought out learning difficulty and you get to choose level progression
· Built in level editor and classic snake game
