Simple gameplay for simple fun
Visually, Billiards Master Pro looks nice but it won’t impress and there’s nothing you can customize to mix things up a bit. You get the same table, standard balls, a cue stick and the opportunity to sink as many balls as you can.
Unlike in other pool games, here you won’t have a meter to show the power with which you hit the cue ball. You just aim, hit and hope for the best. Moreover there’s no kind of help with your shots, like a subtle line that shows you the cue ball’s trajectory, but then again that might be a good thing.
Physics have a very weak presence here
One thing you can’t cut down on when creating a game like this is impact physics. In Billiards Master Pro the idea of kinetic energy is poorly implemented and balls rarely behave as they should. At times, even the smallest hit sends them off at great speeds.
Additionally, the animations aren’t all that good either. Once a ball is hit it will roll on the table until it loses all of its energy, which weirdly enough, seems to happen quite sudden. The balls just suddenly stop when they reach the end, instead of slowing down first.
A decent game for a casual day
On a closing note, Billiards Master Pro is an ok game if you’re looking to waste some time in a relaxing way. However, if you’re looking for a billiards simulator, this is not the one you want.
