Consoles are great for playing games a bit more relaxed, because you do not have to worry about operating systems, or various other problems associated with PCs. On the other hand, they are not as powerful as PCs are, so they cannot provide with the same level of quality when it comes to graphics, although that shouldn’t matter too much if you are not a hardcore gamer.

Emulate your favorite Wii and Gamecube games

Dolphin is an application that allows you to bring your Wii and Gamecube games on your PC and enjoy them. In practical terms, Dolphin is what’s known as an emulator, because it technically works by translating the games into a language that your PC CPU can understand. Naturally, this translation and conversion is quite costly, so even if the game you are trying to play is not exactly top quality, it can still run poorly if you do not own an above-average PC.

As previously mentioned, the emulator works with Wii and Gamecube games. In case you are not aware of this, the Wii uses a motion-sensitive device instead of a gamepad, which is called the Wiimote. Hence, it would be rather impractical to play the same games using the mouse and keyboard, which is why the application allows you to connect the Wiimotes to your computer and use them as usual.

Plenty of supported formats and simple interface

One of the most important features of the tool is the fact that it is quite simple to use, even if the process behind it is rather complicated and difficult to understand if you are not a computer expert. Hence, you only need to know how to properly export your own games from the Wii to the proper formats, because everything else can be achieved with just a few clicks. Speaking of which, the application supports a wide variety of formats, so you can use many different kinds of software to export your games.

Not only that, but the experience can be customized to fit your requirements even after you manage to get the games running. As such, there are many performance and graphics options that allow you to change the way the games look and run, depending on what issues you happen to run into. Moreover, there are a few enhancements you can apply as well, which should make the graphics appear a bit smoother.

A sturdy application with good support and plenty of features

Dolphin really comes through when it comes to the services it can provide you with, especially since it also manages to be relatively simple to operate. Hence, after just a little bit of reading and preparation, everyone can bring their favorite Wii and Gamecube games on PC.
