The Lord of the Rings: War in the North is an adventure role playing game with hack and slash elements that takes the action from the Lord of The Rings books and brings it to life in a new way.

In the game you can play as a dwarf, an elf and a ranger all of which gain experience through battle and grow in power and skill. Each one has his or her own specific combat style and weapons to use but all can perform light or heavy attacks and even critical hits.

Like in all RPG games, there are quests to take on, monsters and various enemies to battle and so on. The Lord of the Rings: War in the North also features unlockable difficulty modes that make the things a lot tougher.
