The Lord Of The Rings: Battle For Middle Earth 2 is a real-time strategy game that is inspired from the famous books and tells the story of good and evil fighting for salvation or destruction.

Battle For Middle Earth 2 follows the classic RTS gameplay in which the player has to mine resources, build a base with defenses and then train an army that is capable of defeating the enemy. One of the features in this version is the possibility to build structures anywhere on the map.

Units from all factions are sorted into categories such as infantry, ranged, pikemen, cavalry and siege, each one with its strengths and weaknesses as well as special skills. The game also introduces three new factions, the dwarves, elves and goblins.
