S.T.A.L.K.E.R. Shadow of Chernobyl is a first-person survival horror game in which you play the role of a Stalker.

The game features RPG elements but instead of leveling up and learning abilities, a Stalker can attach  artifacts to himself to increase his aptitudes. The in-game world is very large and is separated into 18 zones where the player can come across total wilderness, human settlements and military bases.

There are no vehicles to use when traveling so everything is done on foot. S.T.A.L.K.E.R. Shadow of Chernobyl offers plenty of weapons to use, and you have to watch out for various threats such as radiation, hunger and bleeding.
