The Hulk

Superheroes are not always calm and calculated, especially if they have little control over their bodies when they use their powers. Such is the case of Bruce Banner, aka Hulk, whose anger management problems make him a fearsome enemy to anyone that he does not judge as being good.

The Hulk is an action-packed video game that puts you in the shoes of Bruce Banner in one of his bad days, in order to fight hordes of soldiers and a wide selection of villains, ranging from vampires, to the well-known Ravage. As you might expect, in order to advance the story, you must first clear the level of enemies, using nothing but your muscled to do so.

As far as the gameplay mechanics are concerned, the character can be controlled using the keyboard only, especially since the perspective is fixed and the camera follows Hulk at all times from a third-person point of view. In order to beat your foes down, you can throw punches around, or you can just grab them and fling them across the screen.

Thanks to Hulk's immense strength, almost every object around him can be transformed into a lethal weapon, including cars, barrels and various other heavy stuff you might find laying around throughout the levels. You can also make use of your power to jump on top of your foes, as well as climb small buildings and get away from danger.

As far as the graphics are concerned, the game uses a very colorful and pleasant engine, making the entire experience feel more like an old-timey comic book adventure. Moreover, the sound is also accurately reproduced, complete with convincing screams for every enemy and decent voice acting for every important character that appears throughout the game.

In the end, The Hulk is a fun and entertaining experience, thanks to the nice fighting mechanics and wide range of combos you can achieve using the environment in your favor. The friendly and colorful graphics are more than pleasant to look at, while still offering enough definition to make the game look good.
