Cooking Dash

Just like any other business, it’s hard work to open a restaurant and keep it afloat in the beginning, at least until it becomes popular and people start coming to you on a regular basis. However, the food and the service are also very important, because it doesn’t really matter how popular you are if every customer leaves the restaurant annoyed.

Cooking Dash is a time management game in which speed is everything, because you do not really get a chance to cook the dishes you serve. Hence, you only need to move quickly and take care of every customer as soon as you sit him down, while the rest is handled automatically. However, you can also work on the aesthetics of the place, in order to expand your restaurant and make it look nicer.

To begin with, there are two different game modes to choose from, depending on what you are in the mood for. The story mode is quite self-explanatory, since it’s basically the one in which you take it from the beginning and you have to complete every mission in the required order. In the endless mode, on the other hand, you are free to play for as long as you want, in order to gain money and upgrade your restaurant as you wish.

After each day, the money you make can be used to upgrade your equipment or improve the look of your restaurant. Naturally, some upgrades are more expensive than others, although it’s only a matter of taste after you reach a certain level and the money keeps flowing. The customers start demanding more exquisite recipes as well, although they only do so after you acquire the proper machinery to prepare them.

As far as the visual quality of the game is concerned, everything is as colorful and cheerful as you would expect. The characters are all jolly and excited, at least if you do not forget to serve them. The animations are nothing special, on the other hand, probably because there’s not a lot of movement anyway. The same can be said about the music, which gets irritating after only a few levels.

In the end, Cooking Dash provides the fans of the genre with everything they need to have a good time, especially since the endless mode can go on forever. However, the experience might get a little repetitive after a while, at least if you are expecting more from your games.
