The development team at Firaxis is ready to deliver another video for the upcoming XCOM 2, offering gamers a look at the new headquarters they will use, the Avenger that was created from a captured alien ship.

The new mobile base means that the organization, forced to wage a guerrilla war, can strike at any enemy position and can then flee undetected when the forces of the aliens close in.

Gamers will have new options linked to research, production, management of soldiers and interaction with a variety of characters, some of which are already known from the first title in the series.

There are also upgrades to apply, and gamers will have to carefully choose how to use their resources in order to make sure that the squad is well prepared when it goes into combat.

XCOM 2 is designed to be a much more varied title than its predecessor, with Firaxis saying that the new procedurally generated maps will make sure that gamers are unable to learn the layout and exploit it.

The character classes for the turn-based strategy experience are also new, with unique powers, and gamers will be able to deliver melee attacks for the first time, as well as use new team-based tactics.

XCOM 2 will be offered only on the PC this time around and should be out before the end of November.
