The teams at both Valve and HTC working on the Vive virtual reality solution are announcing that they are running a massive promotional tour for the new technology, which will allow gamers to get acquainted with it and the kinds of experiences it can deliver.

Gamers will be able to see the VR solution in action in a variety of locations and on various occasions, which can be all seen by clicking on the button at the end of this blog post.

The two companies are making sure that those who plan to visit understand that the announced avenues might be changed in the coming weeks.

Despite the big promotional tour for Vive, neither Valve nor HTC are ready to announce the date when the virtual reality platform will be officially introduced or the price tag attached to it, although the big launch should take place before the end of the year.

A limited number of actual video games or experiences have been announced for it until now, and we might hear more when the Steam OS and the associated hardware is finally offered in the fall.

The Vive will face tough competition from the Oculus Rift, which is set to arrive in early 2016, the Project Morpheus for the PlayStation 4, and other VR concepts that are in development at various smaller companies.
