The development team at 11 bit Studios is announcing that it is launching a new patch 1.4 for This War of Mine, which is called New Beginning, designed to allow gamers to share their personalized stories of war and survival with the rest of the community.

A video diary offers more details about the new functionality, and the team also explains that gamers will get access to better modding tools for the title.

Michal Drozdowski, creative director working on This War of Mine, explains that the company aims to make it easy for gamers to share content with others and tell some interesting stories.

More characters are now featured, and support for the Japanese, Korean and Turkish languages has also been added.

He adds, "Yes, some of them will undoubtedly be silly, but I cannot wait to see those that approach the tragedy of war in a respectful way. I’m sure people have thousands of great scenarios in their heads and soon they will be able to bring them to life."

This War of Mine is getting more updates for the core version even as the development team at 11 bit Studios is working on the new The Little Ones package, which is designed to launch next year on the PlayStation 4 and the Xbox One and will add support for children characters.
