The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt developer confirms that it's going to debut a small hotfix patch for the big role-playing game today, September 4, exclusively on the PC platform in order to remedy a problem with the achievements in the Steam version of the title.

The Witcher 3 arrived last May across PC, PS4, and Xbox One. Since then, Polish studio CD Projekt Red has kept on releasing all sorts of different updates, not to mention free DLC packs to further enhance the sprawling role-playing game.

After confirming that it's working on more patches and specific improvements, CD Projekt Red's Marcin Momot mentions on Twitter that a small hotfix update is going to debut today for the Steam version of The Witcher 3.

The patch solves a pesky bug that kept Steam users from unlocking their corresponding achievements in the game. The update arrives only on the PC platform via Steam, so those who own the GOG version on PC or the PS4 and Xbox One users won't be met with any new update.

Momot previously stated that a bigger update was coming soon to fix a variety of other problems, at the same time adding new dialog options while players are attempting the Triss romance path with protagonist Geralt of Rivia.

Unfortunately, it's unclear when the bigger patch is going to arrive for the popular RPG.
